Thanks to your contributions, we empowered 20 widows in Kenya with good energy through solar kits, empowering them to build a better future for themselves and their families.
Our mission was to bring hope and 'good energy' to these women who have faced unimaginable hardships after some lost their husbands and even their children, with some leaving behind young grandchildren who need care. These widows are left to provide for their families without basic amenities like security and a steady income. We knew we had to do something to help them, so we launched the Widow's Power project.
SELECTING 20 WIDOWS TO BENEFIT FROM OUR PROGRAM
We carefully selected 20 widows who would be the first of many widows we plan to help. Our goal was to introduce good energy through solar kits, empowering these women to swap out fossil fuels like kerosene for solar energy. The joy and excitement on the faces of these widows were priceless when we finally delivered the solar kits in Kenya. We were moved by the expressions of gratitude and appreciation for the kind donations that made this possible.
PROVIDING RELIABLE AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY
The solar kits will go a long way in providing these widows with a reliable and
sustainable source of ‘Good Energy’, improving their living conditions and ability to provide for themselves and their families. The installation of the solar kits is ongoing in the homes of each widow who received a kit. It's an incredible

THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY
We promoted the campaign through our website and social media channels, highlighting the unique stories of each widow and connecting them to potential donors. Through this, we created a sense of community around the campaign. Seeing people coming together to support these women was amazing.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Ordering, assembling, and shipping the solar kits to Kenya was pivotal for our campaign. We could physically see the impact of the donations pouring in. The team at Zhyphen worked tirelessly to assemble each kit with care and precision. As we received updates on the solar kits being packed and loaded onto crates for shipping, we couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfilment and accomplishment. Our dream of bringing renewable energy to disadvantaged communities was becoming a reality.
