OUR MISSION
Supporting widows is at the core of our mission. Our initial Widow's Power initiative raised enough Good Energy to fully support the first 20 widows out of over 600+ widows connected to us.
By providing a clean energy source, not only are we able to turn the lights on, but with access to electricity, widows will have the opportunity to start their own businesses and provide for their families.
BACKGROUND
An estimated 8 million widows comprise nearly 15% of the population of Kenya. Rural widows, in particular, remain disadvantaged by harmful cultural practices and poverty. The Widow’s Power, seeks to help empower and restore dignity to one of Africa’s most vulnerable demographics, the widow. By providing a clean energy source, not only are we able to turn the lights on, but with access to electricity, widows will have the opportunity to start their own businesses and provide for their families.

We are on mission to build a community of people - (The Good Energy People) with a passion to improve the environment and people’s lives in the developing world by swapping dirty and harmful power consumption, such as kerosene and diesel usage, for clean renewable energy systems such as solar and battery storage. This will reduce the reliance on fossil fuels and bring a good energy future for the next generation.
